#34 – What makes up good Bonsai soil? A basic knowledge of soil is a good place to start. Both of these experts have excellent books. (and I have them both on the table and I study them extensively every year). However, I agree with Mr. Gustfson about a homogeneous mix being better. It is very hard to keep stratified layers from settling on the bottom.
